They were entered into the St. Francis Valley section of the Eastern Townships Badminton Association. The team was unable to practice until mid February due to the construction of the new gymnasium. Regardless of the lack of practice, the team managed to win their last 3 matches.

The team went 8-2 in the st. Francis Valley Badminton association. The team was led by captain Kay Thompson.
The team participated in the ST. Francis Valley League and was led by President Dr. W.O. Raymond. The team represented well, regardless of not winning any outstanding victories.
The team joined a new league; the St. Francis Valley Badminton League, which included Bishop’s, Windsor Mills, Danville and Sherbrooke. The team won gold in men’s doubles at the Eastern Townships Open Tournament.
The team swept a meet with the Sherbrooke High School team and dominated when they were challenged by Sherbrooke Y.M.C.A. and Windsor Mills.
The team played two tournaments against the Windsor-Mills club; narrowly beating the competition in both. The team was led by Men’s Singles start Les Davis.
The team played two matches; one against Danville and the other vs. Sherbrooke High School. Bishop’s won the Sherbrooke meet, yet tied 9-9 at the Danville tournament. The team had a record-setting 40 members this year.
The team was able to find competition against the Danville club. Bishop’s came away with many wins. Many changes were made to the Badminton Constitution; to eliminate uncertainty and the occasional misunderstanding of regulations.
Due to the war, there was no Eastern Townships Tournament. The team did practice frequently, however, were unable to showcase their skill in competition.
The team played in the Eastern Townships Tournament, and was able to win 3 Championships. Terry Giles won the Men’s Singles, Terry Giles and Ron Fyfe won the Men’s Doubles and the duo of Terry Giles and Miss C. Thompson won the Mixed Doubles.
The team lost both of its inter-club matches with Windsor Mills and Ayer’s Cliff. Terry Giles won the Eastern Townships Badminton Tournament held in Sherbrooke. Badminton is on the turn to becoming a competitive sport at Bishop’s.
This marks the first year of competitive badminton at Bishop’s University. The team went 5-2-1; beating Windsor mills twice, Sherbrooke Y.M.C.A., Lennoxville and Coaticook, losing to Sherbrooke Y.M.C.A. and Lennoxville as well as tieing Coaticook.
The club entered the Sherbrooke Regiment Badminton Club. The team competed in the College Championships, however, were unable to bring home the title. Adjustments to the Gym were made to better accommodate badminton.
The first inter-university competitive badminton matches for Bishop’s were played between the college and the Sherbrooke Regiment Badminton club. Each team hosted a friendly tournament.
